Life After Coal at Hanasaari

Benjamin Åkerblom, ”Helsinki Art Museum”

A studio course held by Aalto University last summer focussed on life after coal. The students planned new uses for the Hanasaari coal-fired power plant which will be closed down soon. The proposed uses ranged from an indoor swimming pool to a concert hall and from housing to museums.
